Yoga is like music. The rhythm of the body, the melody of the mind and the harmony of the soul create the symphony of life.
B.K.S. Iyengar

At five years of age, I took my first tap dancing lesson, and at that moment , a life-long passion for movement was born. Continuing with my dance studies as I grew, I went on to Colby-Sawyer College to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theatre/Dance.

I went on to dance professionally, touring the U.S. extensively and dancing in shows in Japan. It was while performing in Japan that I was introduced to yoga and meditation. I was fascinated by how the lovely, tiny meditation gardens could be in the middle of a busy city and still be so serene. It was there that I decided to find a way to keep that feeling of serenity, and so began my yoga practice!

As my yoga and meditation practice evolved, I noticed how much more calm and focused I was becoming and it was a great feeling. I wanted to give others the chance to experience that too, so on to several teacher training courses. I earned my Yoga Alliance RYT-200 hour Certification in 2013. As the daughter of a WWII veteran, I wanted to give back to those who have served to give us all the freedoms that we enjoy. From 2014 to the present, I have completed specialized training with Warriors at Ease and Expedition Balance to discover how to best serve veterans and active duty military members through yoga and meditation. After a weekend workshop in restorative yoga in June of 2015, I realized how beneficial that practice was, and decided to explore it further. That exploration led me to Koh Samui, Thailand in November of 2015, for a week long training in restorative yoga and yoga therapy. It is a joy for me to see students after a restorative practice walk out of the room much calmer than when they arrived!

My passion is to share both the physical and spiritual benefits of yoga to students of all ages and physical capabilities, bringing them unification of body, mind and spirit, a life of physical well-being, and mindfulness and clarity in everyday life.
